Scottish born Kenny McCracken now resides on the south coast. Having moved to Brighton to study photography he has never managed to leave the seaside town.
He spent his degree years playing music as well as taking photographs. At the end of his degree he changed direction and took a record deal, this led him to a decade of playing and recording music. After exhausting this path with two albums and as many record deals he turned back to photography. Having spent so long in the music industry it became apparent that he could mix both his passions in one career.
Shooting for album covers, band promos and editorial he quickly established a style and a creative way of thinking. It now seemed like an obvious move to apply his creative ideas to moving image.
Most of Kenny’s work is shot in camera using minimal post effects and relies on performance or strong concept. Now shooting videos for fresh artists such as “Aurora” and “IYES” signed to DECCA, UNIVERSAL and SONY he has spread his wings into the world of the majors and brought his in camera style to bigger and bigger audiences.
